Patient Care: Provide comprehensive cardiology care for patients, including diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of cardiovascular diseases without using invasive procedures.
Diagnostic Testing: Oversee and interpret non-invasive diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
Patient Education: Educate patients on heart health, lifestyle changes, preventive measures, and management of chronic heart conditions.
Collaborative Care: Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, dietitians, and other specialists, to create individualized care plans.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patient evaluations, procedures, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Outpatient Clinic: Serve in an outpatient setting, providing regular follow-up visits and managing long-term cardiovascular disease care for patients.
Involvement in Research: Participate in clinical research and trials related to cardiovascular health (depending on the institution or practice).
On-call Duties: Provide on-call coverage as required by the practice or healthcare institution.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Training: Completed a fellowship in Non-Invasive Cardiology, and board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
Licensing: Must have an active, unrestricted medical license in New York State (or be eligible for licensure).
Experience: Prior experience in non-invasive cardiology preferred, but new fellows are often considered.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and cardiovascular diagnostic equipment.
Certifications: Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease is highly preferred.
Specialty Interests: Interests in specific areas of cardiology such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, or preventive cardiology may be encouraged.

TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility working toward BC) or Board Certified in Cardiology - REQUIRED
NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
