Discover a career with rich rewards, limitless opportunities for growth/mobility, and competitive salaries and benefits. The Salisbury VAMC is seeking an Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide quality care under the Chief of the Cardiology Section of Medicine Service.

Duties can include but are not limited to performing:

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist duties focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of many different heart and blood vessel conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, valvopathies, acute coronary syndromes, unstable angina, non-ST myocardial infarction, ST elevation myocardial infarction, chronic stable angina, heart arrhythmia, peripheral arterial disease, and congestive heart failure.

Requirements:

  • S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
  • Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
  • Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
  • Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50 55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
