Position Overview:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a temporary, full-time role to provide inpatient care and testing support. The role is Monday through Friday with no on-call responsibilities except for an initial weekend assignment on December 28 and 29, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient rounding and cardiology consultations shared with APPs.
  • Supervision and interpretation of stress tests, echocardiograms, EKGs, holter/event monitors, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Average patient volume: 20-25 patients per day, with 10 consults shared with the team.
  • Work independently in collaboration with APP support (available from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM).

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Cardiology (MD or DO).
  • Valid Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Active DEA certification.
  • Certifications in ACLS and BLS.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in non-invasive cardiology preferred.

  • EMR: Cerner PowerChart (EPIC proficiency preferred).
  • Privileging: Emergency and temporary privileges available (expedited for 12/28 start).
  • Travel: Airfare, mileage, lodging, and transportation costs covered.

  • Common diagnoses: CHF, CP, MI, Afib, hypertensive urgency.
