Seeking a qualified cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging to join our faculty. This position will be responsible for development of the Cardiac MRI program at the institution.
- Close-knit, dependable community of physicians looking for our newest partners. We are a busy growing practice, also looking to hire more interventionalists, and noninvasive cardiologists.
- Provider at one primary site, establishing an MRI program at the institution
- Providers rotate at 2 hospitals and 1 clinic site in the area
- Covering weekend rounds, EKG, MPI and echo readings 1:6
- Teaching formally and informally for the 15 cardiology fellows
- Multiple collaborative research opportunities with translational, biomedical sciences programs
- This position will combine clinical care with formal and in-formal teaching activities for cardiology fellows, residents and medical students and an appointment to the School of Medicine (with ACGME-approved general cardiology and interventional fellowship programs). This appointment is available for Assistant or Associate Professor, non-tenured clinical track or tenure-track educator for qualified applicants.
- Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO (or equivalent) who has successfully completed an accredited cardiology fellowship program and advanced training in CT/MRI.
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiology.
- Cardiac MRI: Level 2 or 3 with board certification/eligible with plan to become certified
- Cardiac CT: Level 2 or 3
- Echocardiography: Level 2 or 3
- Must secure a full and unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
- Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
- In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
