Locums - West Burlington, Iowa, Interventional Cardiology Job Clinical Role:

  • Dates of Coverage: June 2025 and forward
  • Practice Setting (Inpatient/Call/Outpatient/Clinic): Inpatient, Call, & outpatient-clinic
  • Reason for Coverage: Interventional Cardiologist leaving practice
  • Schedule (Shifts and Hours): Clinic Mon-Thur 9a-3:30p Fri 9a-12p
  • Call Schedule: In rotation. 8am-8am Mon-Thur. Weekend call 8am Fri to 8am mon
  • Average Number of Clinic Patients Per Day: 12-15
  • Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: 1-2 interventional and general 4-5
  • Trauma Level/Designation: 3
  • Total Number of Beds: 250 but census is usually much less than that. 110 to 115 on avg
  • Number of ICU Beds: 10
  • Number of Interventional Cardiologists in Group: 1
  • Other Interventional Cardiologists will be Present During our Locum's Coverage
  • Patient Age Demographic: (Adolescent, OB, Adult, Geriatric):18 and older
  • Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
  • Procedures Required: Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization
  • Procedures Required: Medical Management of Vascular Disease
  • Procedures Required: Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Atherectomy
  • Additional Procedures Required (Please List): Stress echo, nuclear stress, reading echo’s, holters, & event monitors, TEE’s and cardioversions
  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology - Required
  • Active IA license - Highly Preferred
  • BLS, ACLS - Required
