About Us:

  • Hospital employed position joining an experienced team in a well-established and comprehensive cardiology practice in Norman, Oklahoma providing personalized healthcare with compassion and excellence, in the heart of south central Oklahoma.
  • Norman Regional’s busy Cardiology practice is seeking a well-qualified Interventional Cardiologist who appreciates a culture of teamwork, professionalism and collegiality. With the upcoming retirement of a partner, large service area, and established referral patterns, Norman Heart & Vascular Associates cares for a high volume of patients and this position will be turn-key.
  • Located on Norman Regional Campus, the clinic is shared with 3 diagnostic cardiologists, 1 medical electrophysiologist, 5 interventional cardiologists, and 2 cardiothoracic surgeons. Each physician has three exam rooms, APP support, and strong clinic leadership.
  • Our hospital cardiology suite features 3 cath labs, 1 EP lab, and one hybrid suite. The cath lab manager has been with NRHS for 23 years and most of the staff have been with us 10 years or more.
  • Our new state-of-the-art hospital was recently completed with a substantial addition and renovation. There are 24 operating rooms, 32 ICU beds, 32 step-down beds, with 307 total hospital beds. We have 24 hour intensivist and hospitalist coverage.
  • We are a Level II Trauma Center with in-house EMS service. Our 48 bed Emergency Medicine Department and free-standing EDs at Moore and Highway 9, are all new/nearly-new builds featuring leading-edge technology and construction.
  • Our health system enjoys a strong collaboration with OU Stephenson Cancer Center, the state’s only NCI-designated cancer center, delivering the most advanced cancer care and clinical trials.

Work Schedule:

Typical weekly schedule includes 4 days patient care and half-day admin.

Call is 1:9 and only 5 days of stemi call per month. Call in line used to triage only sending priority calls to physician.

Qualifications:

  • BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oklahoma.
