CarolinaEast Physicians, the physician group for CarolinaEast Health System, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our thriving group in coastal NC. Peripheral or structural skills preferred. This dynamic, hospital owned multispecialty group consist of 100+ physicians and extenders with offices in four coastal NC counties. Our well established Cardiology group currently has 4 interventional Cardiologists, 3 Electrophysiologists, 6 general Cardiologists as well as 7 APP's.
Job Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed physical exams, review medical histories, and evaluate diagnostic test results (e.g., ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and angiograms).
Interpretation of Diagnostic Data: Review imaging and laboratory tests to assess heart conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, or congenital heart defects.
2. Interventional Procedures:
Angioplasty and Stenting: Perform procedures to open blocked or narrowed arteries in the heart by
inflating a balloon (angioplasty) or placing a stent to keep the artery open.
Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI): Perform minimally invasive procedures for treating
coronary artery disease, including balloon angioplasty and stenting.
Atherectomy: Remove plaque buildup from arteries to improve blood flow.
Valve Repair/ Using catheter-based techniques to repair or replace malfunctioning heart valves (e.g.,
transcatheter aortic valve replace
