The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board-certified Interventional Cardiologist. You'll enjoy a unique combination of two great American heritages: a little Cajun, and since we're less than 15 minutes from the Texas border, a little Lone Star, too. Job Responsibilities
• Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 – $390,000
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., may be required to work unscheduled hours in case of an emergency or when on call
• Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
• Perform standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
• Duties will include clinical practice, and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
• Position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications
Qualifications
• Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology
• Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred. Structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention training desirable
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
