Key Responsibilities:
  • STEMI Support: Take 24-hour weekend call (Friday-Sunday) for STEMI procedures and provide life-saving interventions.
  • Inpatient Consults & Rounding: Monday-Thursday, perform rounding on an average of 24 patients per day and handle 6 consults per day, covering a variety of cardiology cases.
  • Procedures You’ll Perform:
  • Balloon Angioplasties
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Heart Catheterizations
  • Coronary Angiograms
  • Supervision of APPs: You’ll oversee 2 APPs assisting with patient care during rounding. The practice leaders will handle their formal evaluations.
Requirement:
  • Board-Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • ACLS Certification required
  • Michigan License (or willingness to obtain)
  • Expertise in Balloon Angioplasty, PCI, Coronary Angiograms, and Heart Catheterization procedures
  • Comfortable managing an adult/geriatric patient population
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
Facility Overview:
  • 348 Beds (including 30 ICU beds)
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Full OB Service with adolescent/pediatric patients transferred to a pediatric hospital in Grand Rapids
  • A dedicated team of 5 interventional cardiologists providing high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients
