Hospital is looking for urgent Interventional Cardiology coverage to help 24 hour STEMI call shifts which can include clinic hours Tues-Thurs.

Specialty : Interventional Cardiology

Start date : 9/10/2024 ; End date : Ongoing

Coverage type: Call Only

SCHEDULE :

  • Sept 10 (7a) - 29 (12p)
  • Ongoing dates will be needed but main focus is on these urgent coverage through Sept
  • Mon-Sun - 24 hour STEMI call
  • Tues-Thurs - Clinic hours can be included in the call shift where the site sees fit.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Looking for a provider to start July 28th.
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • FTE: 1
  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: Left and right heart caths, coronary angioplasty/stents, balloon pump/impella, transesophael Echo, pacemakers, and TEE.
  • Call: STEMI
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: Echo Tech, Lab Tech, RN, X-ray Tech, Nuclear Tech
  • Reason for Coverage: Internal physician resigned.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :

  • EMR Required Training:
    • Module (learn lessons) – Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
    • EMR Virtual training – Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed before the provider’s first day and is only available Mon-Fri for scheduling.
  • Board Certified Interventional Cardiology - Required
  • Active UT license - Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)
  • Active BLS - Required
  • Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
  • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
  • Must state # of shifts per month provider can offer to the team starting October - Required
  • Candidate must be available for dates detailed in job description and must disclose all of the dates they can cover to be considered for ongoing shifts - Required
  • Clean Malpractice/background - Required for urgent July shifts and mid August.
  • Clean Malpractice/background - Highly preferred but not required for any shifts starting Sept - Must include self inquiry NPDB Report at presentation to be considered
