Seeking an additional interventional cardiologist due to increased patient need/demand.

- Full time position – Monday thru Friday
- 4.5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week
- 36 patient contact hours
- Call: 1:3 STEMI Call and 1:6 Cardiology Call
- General & Interventional Practice
- Consult service ONLY – Hospitalists take care of admissions
- The cardiology and oncology department are both affiliated with the Duke Health Network (DNH)
- 2 Cath labs operating at the hospital currently – doing 500 cases/yr.
- On pace to perform about 720 procedures a year not counting those procedures performed in the pre and post areas. These numbers do not include TEE's, Cardioversions, Tilt Table Tests or Loop Recorders.
- We average close to 10 patients referred to open heart every month and 2-3 STEMIs per week.
- No cardio thoracic surgery at medical center
- Full spectrum of cardiac imaging available, to include TTE/TEE, SPECT MPI, CCTA with new 256 slice CT scanner with single heart beat image acquisition
- Full spectrum of invasive/interventional procedures to include:
- Diagnostic right/left cardiac catheterization with PCI
- Pacemaker (conventional and leadless), ICD, CRT implantation
- Full cardiac device clinic with dedicated technician
- Dedicated peripheral lab with DSA, moving rapidly towards a busy peripheral program
- Ability to do peripheral venous and PE interventions
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base 1 - 3 years then RVU
- Signing Bonus (Paid after 30 days of employment)
