Job Title: Invasive/Interventional Cardiologist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Invasive/Interventional Cardiologist to join our esteemed cardiology team in Pittsburgh, PA. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
  2. Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), angioplasty, stenting, and intravascular imaging, with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes and minimizing procedural risks.
  3. Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, conducting thorough medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatment planning in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
  4. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiac electrophysiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, heart team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery, promote clinical excellence, and achieve optimal outcomes.
  6. Engage in teaching and mentorship activities, including supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, to foster the next generation of cardiovascular specialists and contribute to academic excellence.
  7. Contribute to clinical research projects, innovation, and scholarly activities within the field of cardiology, advancing knowledge and practice in areas such as interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Active medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in invasive and interventional cardiology procedures, with a focus on safety, efficacy, and patient-centered care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and engage patients in shared decision-making.
