**Interventional Cardiology opening in the Houston metro area**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Located in ***The Woodlands, TX*** - part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area_x000D_ * Full-time, permanent opening_x000D_ * Employed position_x000D_ * Joining an established, growing Cardiology practice_x000D_ * Mentorship support avaialble_x000D_ * Office is approximately 6300 square feet_x000D_ * 1:3 weekend call schedule, STEMI_x000D_ * Prefer a start date ASAP_x000D_ _x000D_ **Responsibilities:**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills_x000D_ * Coordinate discharge planning with case management_x000D_ * Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients_x000D_ * Accept patient referrals from other physicians_x000D_ * Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital_x000D_ * Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules_x000D_ _x000D_ **Requirements:**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Experience preferred, but open to newly graduated fellows_x000D_ * Training in Echo, Nuclear, TEEs desirable_x000D_ * Required proficiency in pacemaker implants_x000D_ * Preferred proficiency with defibrillators and peripheral vascular work_x000D_ * Preferred proficiency in extremity support for vascular access and/or lower extremity_x000D_ _x000D_ **Compensation/Benefits:**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Competitive salary _x000D_ * Comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision_x000D_ * Relocation assistance_x000D_ * Paid occurrence based malpractice insurance_x000D_ * Vacation and CME annually_x000D_ * Annual CME allowance
