Advanced Heart Failure Specialist

Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University seeks a full-time faculty member in the Division of Cardiology, specializing in Advanced Heart Failure, at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Jefferson Health's Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Center is among the top programs in the Delaware Valley, providing cutting-edge care and holding certifications from the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) for heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices. The center is widely recognized for its expertise in managing complex cases, offering heart transplants, and treating patients with ventricular assist devices (VADs)

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an Accredited Program.
  • Board-certified or eligible both Cardiology and Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplantation
  • Essential expertise includes training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac transplantation
  • The ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA prior to start date

Responsibilities:

  • Patient care in both cardiac consultative and inpatient settings.
  • Conducting outpatient clinic sessions.
  • Participating in on-call rotation.
  • Instructing and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows within the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiology divisions.
