Bon Secours in the beautiful coastal Hampton Roads/Tidewater Region of Virginia is seeking a fellowship trained Cardiovascular Electrophysiology MD to join our established group in the region.

The physician would provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to include testing, diagnosing, and treating abnormal heart rhythms. Must be trained in Watchman’s, ablations, and device implants. An experienced staff is in place for practice support.

3 to 5 years of EP Cardiology Experience is required.

Procedural Growth in all areas of EP is anticipated in the region - including Ablations.

Practice Locations: Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth VA and Bon Secours Cardiology, Norfolk VA

Job Details:

  • Fulltime- Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • Call Schedule 1:6 weekends and weekday rotation
  • Evening cardiology call 5:00pm to 7:00am. Shared with large provider team including Interventional and APC.
  • Average Patients per day: 20 or more
  • Patient Range: Adult & Geriatric
  • EMR: EPIC fully integrated
  • MyChart for Virtual Health to include Telemedicine as appropriate
  • LPN/CME and Device Coordinator are part of clinical support team
  • Special Skills & Training: Must be Fellowship Trained
  • Experience with Watchman’s, Complex Ablations and Device Implants/Explants welcome

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a U.S.-Based Residency Program
  • Must be Fellowship Trained in Cardiology-Electrophysiology
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by ABMS/ABIM
  • Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S.
  • Current unrestricted Virginia license or eligible for Virginia licensure
  • 3 to 5 years of EP Cardiology practice experience required
