The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board certified/board eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist. Commonly known as the 'Ark-La-Tex', the point where Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas meet, Shreveport offers you the 'lagniappe', which means a little something extra! Job Responsibilities

Highlights of this position include:
• Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 $400,000
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., on call as required
• Clinical duties will focus on General cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
• Support general cardiology service.
• Reviews physical requirements and conducts physical examination of various categories of military and civilian personnel

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:
• American Board of Internal Medicine Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology preferred. We will also consider Cardiac Electrophysiology board eligible candidates.
• Academic appointment at LSU School of Medicine is available but not required. (Board certification required if interested in academic appointment.)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
