Electrophysiology Cardiologist – Join Bon Secours Cardiology in Richmond, VA

Bon Secours Cardiology is a leading provider of comprehensive cardiovascular care, committed to excellence and innovation. Our practice includes a robust team of 20 specialists covering non-invasive, interventional, structural heart, and electrophysiology (EP) cardiology. We are supported by an Advanced Heart Failure program and cardiovascular surgery services, providing a full spectrum of care to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join our dynamic and growing team.

Position Overview:

As an Electrophysiology Cardiologist at Bon Secours, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that provides advanced cardiovascular care. You will have the opportunity to perform a full array of EP procedures and work with state-of-the-art technology in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role includes a balanced schedule on average of 3 procedure days and 2 clinic days per week. The call schedule is an average of 1:5 (weekends) with the opportunity to have post-call day off. The current EP team includes Advanced Practice Clinician support for inpatient and outpatient care, and comprehensive RN/tech device team for remote monitoring of implantable devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a comprehensive range of electrophysiological procedures, including radiofrequency/cryoablation/pulsed field ablation AFib ablation, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs)/ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablations, permanent pacemaker (PPM) placements, insertable cardiac monitors (ILR), Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), laser lead extractions and Watchman device implants.
  • EP procedures are scheduled between EP labs at both St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA and St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. Plans for growth with a future Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC).
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of cardiologists, including non-invasive, interventional, and structural heart specialists, as well as an Advanced Heart Failure program and CV Surgery team.
  • Provide exceptional patient care through accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology.
  • Fellowship training and board certification in Electrophysiology.
  • Proven experience in performing a wide range of electrophysiological procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with patients and within the medical team.
