Locums Anesthesiologist - Oklahoma City vicinity
-Practice Setting: Clinic & Call
-Must be Board Certified
-Temp Privileges Available
-Must have Active OK License
*Start Date: ASAP - by 4/1/22 at latest
*End Date: Ongoing
-Types of cases/surgical specialties: Ortho, general surgery, GI sedation, general pediatrics (BMT, T&A), adult ENT, GYN, spine, cataracts. (All are bread and butter cases.)
-Acuity of patients:
o ASA 1-5e? 1-3
-No Trauma services
-Avg. Patients/cases per day: If doing own cases: 3-8 cases/day on average. If supervising: will supervise 4 rooms w CRNAs
*Total ORs: 21
*Total ORs running daily: 16-21
*Shortest commitment timeline: Would like to see 12 week commitment if possible, but flexible.
*Willing to use 2-3 providers to cover the locums schedule
*Alternate work week is negotiable: M-Th, T-F, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, etc. Split coverage: will negotiate shifts. Each FTE equivalent would need to take 2 weekend calls (F-Su) per quarter. If a split FTE, then each can take 1 weekend call/quarter. There would also be weekday evening call at approximately 8 per quarter.
*Calls are distributed equally. The call burden is light and call doc generally comes in at 1200. Rarely get called in overnight or on weekends.
*Prefer full time coverage
*MDs on site / support staff / other details: 3 facilities (21 total ORs), two facilities (8 ORs each plus GI) will have a morning doc supervisor and an afternoon doc supervisor, the third facility (3 ORs) will have docs doing their own cases. Docs will supervise CRNAs in 4 rooms, and CRNAs will work in collaboration with the surgeon in the other 4 rooms. The supervising doc at each facility can be available for consult or assistance to any CRNA if needed. We have a total of 16 CRNAs.
