The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Neuroanesthesiology, is seeking Neuroanesthesia-trained anesthesiologists to join our esteemed team in Gainesville, FL – a sunny, dynamic, and family-friendly city.


The Opportunity

  • Join a dynamic and growing academic neuroanesthesia division with a fellowship program.
  • Collaborate closely with neuromedicine and neurosurgical specialists in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
  • The Neuroanesthesia Division:
    • Staffs 9 specialized operating rooms designed for neurosurgical and orthopedic spine procedures, located in a state-of-the-art hospital tower dedicated to heart, neuro, and vascular care, which opened in 2018 which includes:
      • Two hybrid endovascular suites.
      • Rooms equipped with intraoperative MRI capabilities.
    • Provides care to approximately 5,000 patients annually, encompassing a diverse range of procedures.

  • Contribute to a certified comprehensive stroke center and comprehensive spine center with a multidisciplinary team approach.

Job Responsibilities

Engage in clinical and research efforts focused on advancing patient outcomes and the field of neuroanesthesiology spanning various aspects of brain and spinal cord care.

Qualifications

1. M.D./D.O. or equivalent
2. Neuroanesthesia experience
3. Skills in clinical care, research, and/or education
4. ABA certification/eligibility
5. Credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license
