  • Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinic hours and beeper call if needed. The facility is seeking Anesthesiology providers who can work a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts, with a strong preference for those willing to cover nights and weekends. Shifts vary, with the longest being 7 AM – 7 PM and the shortest 3 PM – 11 PM. Weekend calls include a 12-hour guaranteed shift (7 AM – 7 PM), a 12-hour night shift (7 PM – 7 AM, requiring the provider to be within 30 minutes of the hospital), and a backup on-call shift (which may involve 4–5 hours of work or none). Providers will start with day shifts before transitioning to nights after a few weeks. Call is beeper-based and remote on weekends. Overtime applies after 12 hours and must be pre-approved by the medical director by the end of the shift. Guaranteed hours are 8. An active California medical license is required for submission, and if found inactive, name clear will be revoked. A permanent California DEA is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide anesthesiology services, including perioperative patient care, pain management, and anesthesia administration.
- Work a combination of day, night, and weekend shifts, ensuring availability for night and weekend coverage.
- Follow a phased schedule, starting with day shifts before transitioning to night shifts.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including pre-approval for overtime by the medical director at the end of each shift.
- Participate in shift work and call coverage, including beeper call and remote call on weekends.
- Provide backup on-call support during designated weekend shifts.

Qualifications

- Mandatory: Active California medical license (required for submission; name clear revoked if not verified).
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Preferred but not required: Permanent California DEA license.

Working Hours

Shifts vary:
- Longest shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
- Shortest shift: 3 PM – 11 PM
Call coverage:

Weekend call shifts:
