This Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time anesthesiologist/critical care physician to join our team. As a member of the Anesthesia team, we are looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist who has Critical Care experience. This position incudes additional support from Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s), and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AA’s).

  • Salary: Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • Schedule: 26 weeks on/26 weeks off (typically 7 on/7off unless mutually agreed upon by anesthesiology team) • 2 anesthesiologists scheduled per shift; supervise CRNA’s and AA’s • Call: Call required during week on; critical care call and back up for anesthesiologists on
  • Opportunity to precept medical students and residents.

  • Technology: New anesthesia Mindray machines, including new ultrasounds. Additionally, we have a Glideslope for emergency airways and Belmont for rapid infusers..
  • 7 OR suites; 2 endoscopy suites.
  • ICU: 10 bed open unit; consult only; partner with pulmonology and critical care physician for daily rounds

Requirements:

  • Completion or upcoming completion of anesthesiology residency and a critical care fellowship.
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Board certified physician or board certification eligible (if eligible, must obtain board certification within 4 years); Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact

Cases:

  • We do not perform cardiac (heart) or neurosurgery (head) cases. Bread and Butter general anesthesia cases performed (nerve blocks, A-lines, epidurals, etc.).
  • 8-9 starts a day.
  • 700 cases a month (~200 of those is endoscopies).
  • OB services (750 deliveries a year).
  • lots of robotic cases; state-of-the-art medical equipment/technology (4 Da Vinci Robots, the mako robot, etc.)
