Waldo County General Hospital Maine is looking for someone to fill their Locum Anesthesiology position!
Schedule:
- Schedule: 0700-1530hr.
- Call Schedule: Week night call is 7a - 4pm every third night, flexible. Weekend call is 24 hours. Weekend call is one weekend per month (1:4)
- Dates of Coverage: April 14-24; May 19-30; June, July, August - exact dates TBD but client will likely need coverage at least 2 weeks each of these months
- Ideal candidate: available during the dates listed and is willing to be flexible regarding the exact schedule/shifts
- Reason for Coverage: Retirement and relocation of two physician providers
- Practice Setting: Critical access hospital located in historic seaport of Belfast Maine
- Call Ratio: every third, flexible
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 14-16 included endoscopy
- Will the Locum Tenen Physician be Required to Supervise CRNAs: No. The physicians do their own cases
- Trauma Level/Designation: No trauma
- Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 4
- Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Responsible for Preparing the Anesthesia Cart? Pre-op population of Epic

- Description of OR Staff: Congenial, professional and helpful staff
- Number of Operating Rooms: We run three anesthesia sites per day (includes OR's and endoscopy rooms)

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
- Is the OB Program still active? If yes, how many deliveries per month on average? Yes. 4 - 6 deliveries a month.
- What are the policies for the epidurals? Anesthesiologists are allowed to leave the hospital after the epidural is initiated. Must be available for call back.
- How long is the call response time? We follow ACOG guidelines, 30 minute response time.
