Anesthesiology opening in NY Located in Oswego, NY Full-Time, Permanent J1 Eligible Position Seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Anesthesiologist to join hospital. Details: - Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:30p - Call Required: MD takes 1st call and are off the following day except in a PTO or emergency situation they may work the morning; 1-week day per week (Monday Thursday, 52-days/year) and 1 weekend per month (Friday Sunday, 12-weekends/year); compensated separately if there is a need to come in; CRNA on 2nd call - Practice Staffing Model: Increased census; currently 5 MDs (including Chief) and being proactive with some upcoming retirements; 3 CRNAs and would like to increase to 6 CRNAs; some supervision of CRNAs - EMR: Meditech Types of Procedures/Cases: - Approximate volume of 900 annual inpatient OR cases and 5,000 annual outpatient cases (including endoscopy) - Approximately 450 births per year - Max of 7 anesthesia sites at any given time (4 OR/3 endo suites) - Bread and butter cases including the following specialties: Bariatrics, non-invasive Cardiology, ENT including healthy pediatrics, General Surgery, GI, Orthopedics, Urology and OBGYN.
