Rates: $400/hr

Position Details

• Start Date:
  As soon as credentialed (2–3 months with active NY license).

• Practice Setting:

  • Hospital-based.

  • 7 ORs with a 1:3 CRNA supervision ratio.

  • OB call is minimal (15% section rate); providers receive post-call days off.

Responsibilities and Case Mix

• Case Mix Includes:

  • General Surgery

  • Endoscopy

  • Vascular

  • Orthopedics

  • Bariatric Surgery

  • UroGynecology

  • Obstetrics (epidurals, C-sections).

• Exclusions:

  • No Cardiac Surgery

  • No Neurosurgery

  • No Thoracic Surgery

• Procedures:

  • A-Lines, Central Lines

  • Nerve Blocks

  • General Spinal Anesthesia

  • MAC (Monitored Anesthesia Care)

  • LMA (Laryngeal Mask Airway)

  • Pain Control in PACU

  • Pre-op Clearance

• EMR: Epic

• Support Staff: Supervision of CRNAs.

Patient Population

• Adult: Majority of cases.

• Pediatrics: Low volume.

Requirements

• Certification:

• • Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency (American Boards only).

  • Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Licensure:

  • Active NY license – Required.

• Experience:

  • Comfortable managing epidurals (MDs initiate, CRNAs manage).

• Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, Bariatrics, and Plastics surgeries.
