CrossMed has partnered with a facility in Cedar Rapids, IA that needs Anesthesiology coverage beginning in February of 2025.

Start Date: February of 2025 and ongoing
Requirements: Active IA license, IMLC, may consider providers needing licensure
Dates Needed: Ongoing assignment – 25 Anesthesiologists needed on schedule per day with 3 providers on call at night (1 for Cardiac, 1 for General, and 1 for OB)
Schedule: 6:30AM – 3:30 PM or 5:30PM - Call will start at 3 PM typically
Setting: Mix of inpatient and outpatient (ASC - within 15 minutes of facility)
Call Requirements: 3 Providers per day/weekend (1 for Cardiac, 1 for General, 1 for OB) Call is Friday 3 pm – 6:30 AM Monday for weekends and 5:30 PM – 6:30 AM weekdays
Patient Ages: Adults & Healthy Peds only (tonsils/adenoids)- facility is 25-minutes from University of Iowa Hospital which is a tertiary center
Volume: 1,200 cases per month – All cases needed - Prefer providers that can do multiple case types - will not look at providers that can only do Cardiac
Cases: Very minimal heads (spine is main case), Cardiac, General, OB -- ASC is mainly ophthalmology and General cases
Procedures: General Anesthesia – ortho, ophthalmology, GI, URO, OB, Cardiac, Vascular, General Surg, blunt force trauma – 3 Robots on-site
Support staff: No CRNAs - full hospital staff
Charting/EMR: Epic
Credentialing – 60 days – temps available

Other information:

700 trauma cases per year (car accidents, farming accidents) - these cases pick up in April

150 heart cases per year
Level 3 trauma center
