We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team. This position requires expertise in both pediatric and adult anesthesiology, with a primary focus on pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide variety of cases, from healthy to sick pediatric patients, and be prepared for both independent and supervisory anesthesia work.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 7-3p Monday through Friday, 40-hour workweek, with mutually agreed upon call and weekend shifts
• Call Schedule:
  • Weekday Call: Beeper call from approximately 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Call: Beeper call from Friday evening to Monday morning
  • Call Back Volume: 3-5 cases over the weekend, 25% callback rate during the week
  • Post-call: Post-call days are off
• Work Mix:
  • Weekdays: Mainly supervisory work
  • Weekends: 50/50 mix of independent anesthesia work and supervision of anesthesia providers

Case Types:

• Pediatric Cases: Up to 60-70% of your caseload will be pediatric patients, ranging from neonates to adolescents. Cases include ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, ophthalmology, dental, urology, and some neurosurgery.
• Adult Cases: Adult general surgery, vascular, gynecology, ENT, and occasional MRI and cath lab cases.

Patient Demographics:

• Pediatrics: Comfortable managing both healthy and sick pediatric patients (70-80% are healthy).
• Age Range: Pediatric cases will include patients from 0 days old and up.

Requirements:

• Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required
• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology with Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship training
• Must be comfortable with both in-house and beeper call
