Local Team Collaboration

  • Join our close-knit team of 20 physicians and 62 CRNAs at John Peter Smith Hospital.
  • Work alongside many fellowship trained and Board Certified anesthesiologists and CRNAs to bring the highest standard of care to the patient population at JPS.

Qualifications

  • Board certified/eligible in anesthesia.
  • Experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling

  • In-house night and weekend shifts at Q5-6, with compensatory off from day work. Average work hours/week in 45-50 hr range, including the Night and Weekend shifts.
  • Backup home call Q5-6 with very low call back rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Our hospital is a Level I trauma center that deals with high-risk obstetrics and cardiothoracic cases. We have 13 bustling operating rooms, handle interventional radiology cases with critically ill patients in the electrophysiology (EP) lab, and provide services in GI and obstetrics.
  • We foster close collaboration with our CRNA colleagues, ensuring that we collectively provide the highest standard of anesthesia care for the Fort Worth community.
  • Provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight for Anesthesiology team
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement protocols to maintain best practices in anesthesia care.
  • Manage department scheduling, ensuring optimal staff coverage for surgical and non-surgical anesthesia services.
  • Stay current on advancements in anesthesia practices and lead continuing education efforts for the team.

  • Compensation: Base salary of $500k annually and annual chief stipend.
    • Up to $25k annual quality bonus.
