This position focuses on operative anesthesia for acute care hospital cases, excluding cardiac coverage. Candidates must have recent experience in acute care hospitals, not primarily ASCs, and should be available for consistent weekday shifts.

Job Responsibilities

Provide general anesthesiology services in a 720-bed hospital with 24 ORs
Administer anesthesia for operative cases, excluding cardiac and sedation-only cases
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists, nursing staff, anesthesia techs, and NPs
Deliver care for patients aged 1 year and up
Document patient interactions and procedures accurately within the Epic EMR system

Qualifications

Board Certified (BC) in Anesthesiology
Recent acute care hospital experience required
Proficiency in Epic EMR required (please include experience details)
Clean malpractice and NPDB record
Must be able to handle a variety of cases; sedation-only bids will not be considered

Working Hours

Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10-hour shifts
Call Coverage: No call responsibilities

Proficiency in administering anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures
