We are seeking a Locums Anesthesiologist Physician to join our team in Worcester, MA. This role offers a flexible schedule with full-time weekday coverage needed. The position involves four 10-hour shifts, which include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, and Wednesday from 8 AM to 6 PM. The anesthesiologist will work at both the University and the hospital.

Call coverage is required once a month if involved in obstetrics (OB), from 4 PM to 7 AM on weekdays. Weekend call may consist of a 12-hour OB call or a Main Operating Room (MOR) pager call. The call ratio is 1:1. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for performing a range of "bread and butter" anesthesia cases. There will be no cardiac, pediatric, trauma cases, or pain management responsibilities. Regional blocks are not required, and the average number of cases in the operating room ranges from 3 to 9 per day.

The practice setting includes 16 operating rooms at the Hospital and 13 operating rooms at University Hospital, along with NORA (Non-Operating Room Anesthesia) sites. Additionally, there are 2 endoscopy suites in the Endoscopy Department at University Hospital. On average, the CRNA will manage 3 cases per day in the operating room.

Qualifications:

· OB training is helpful but not required; however, the facility handles high-risk OB cases.

· Fellowship in OB is preferred but not mandatory.

· Must possess a valid Massachusetts medical license.

· Experience with IMLC-certified providers is not applicable, as the facility has not had such providers before.
