Locum Anesthesiologist *122802: West Central, Iowa
Support Staff/Supervision: CRNA's are supervised.
Active IA License: Yes, required due to urgent need
Board Certified: Yes, required
Required Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS
Flights/Lodging/Rental or Mileage: All covered
Practice Setting: OR/Surgery Dept. Level 2 trauma center.
Dates/Coverage Needed: ASAC - FT for 3-6 months w/ the option to extend.
Schedule Details: Monday - Friday: 6a - 3p with occasionally weekday call from 3p - 6a. Hours may vary depending on needs.
Average # of surgical cases per day: 13
# of OR's: 12
Patient Demographic: Mostly adult/geriatric. No complicated adolescent procedures.
Case Mix:
Procedures Required: General Surgical Cases adult, General Surgical Cases - pediatric, Minor Nerve Blocks, IV Regional anesthesia, Plexus anesthesia, Open Heart Anesthesia, Thoracic Cases, Complex Vascular Cases, Complex Orthopedic Cases, Spinal Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, Neurosurgical Cases, Ventilation Management, Local Infiltration
Pain Management Procedures: Acute
Insertion of: Central Line, Arterial line, PA Catheter
Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume / BP Issues required
