Anesthesiologist Locums Job in New York

Dates of Coverage: starting ASAP and ongoing (2+ weeks per month required, three months to credential)

Details of Assignment
» New York medical license is required
» Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–3:30PM
» Ideal candidate interested in 1-2 shifts per week of 7AM-5:30PM (guaranteed 10-hour day)
» No formal call but ideal candidate is willing to work 1-2 late shifts per week, providing coverage until 5:30 pm on an as needed basis. OR block end time is 3:30 pm so late shift is mainly coverage in case a room runs late.
» Must be proficient with regional anesthesia for post-operative pain. Regional all done by anesthesiologist.
» Must do Nerve Blocks and Peds
» Mix of solo cases and CRNA medical direction. Mix of CRNA supervision at 1:2 or 1:3 ratio + own cases; ~ 50/50 mix.
» 2-3 Anesthesiologists onsite - Occasional light OR day with empty rooms then 1-2.
» Case mix: mostly general and orthopedic, peds, urology, ophthalmology, and gynecology
» Healthy Peds all 2years or up for mostly ENT or ophthalmology, with the possible exception of quick mask cases-may be younger.
» EMR is EPIC
