Transform anesthesiology performance: lead, innovate, and elevate as our regional performance director! The regional performance director (RPD) of anesthesia is responsible for providing strategic and tactical support to the practice leaders, teams and clients, while providing the appropriate resources and expertise that can help improve clinical and operational performance. The RPD will collaborate in ongoing assessment and monitoring of key performance metrics. In this full-time role, you will work approximately 25% onsite and 75% remote. You may work clinically for 2-4 days/month at your discretion.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must be a board certified physician anesthesiologist, CRNA or CAA (we are opening this position to all three clinician job class types; each individual posting should only list that clinician type)
  • Critical-thinking, decision-making and creative problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation skills and follow-through; ability to negotiate win-win situations
  • Outstanding written and communication skills
  • Knowledge/certification in LEAN healthcare concepts, Six Sigma and rapid cycle process facilitation and other performance improvement methodologies desired but not required

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Performance and Innovation leaders of other service lines and driving clinical, operational, financial, leadership, and overall performance improvement in the Anesthesiology service line
  • Work with VP of operational optimization to assess, optimize, and implement staffing and operational best practices
  • Partner with CCO/NMD-Anesthesiology and regional leaders to prioritize the assessment, education, and intervention opportunities for all clinical sites within TeamHealth as well as operational improvement recommendations and plans within the designated region and ensures goals are aligned with TeamHealth strategic priorities
  • Coach stakeholders on key tactics and processes to improve efficiency and achievement of established/desired goals
  • Identify training needs of triads and client leaders and staff that can aid in operational effectiveness or improvement
  • Actively take part in executing strategic initiatives as directed, ensuring standardization, simplification, and scaling of the national initiatives
  • Design and implement online and live educational programs targeted towards clinicians, nurse and ancillary staff, leaders and our health system clients
  • Must be willing to travel
