Job Description:
- The physician will join a professional, confident, and friendly team of physicians. The group practices a care team model, providing medical direction over CRNAs. However, there is still opportunity to personally perform anesthesia.
- This state-of-the-art hospital is designated as a Level 2 trauma center and has 20 operating rooms, 5 heart and vascular rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms, and 2 c-section suites.
- General and complex range of cases, including orthopedic (elective + trauma), gynecology, ENT, complex vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology including EP and structural heat, and full scope cardiothoracic cases. We also provide anesthesia support to our patients in radiology. There is a full obstetrical practice with plenty of epidural opportunities.
- We have dedicated time to improving the efficiency of the OR and the quality of care for our patients. We are currently working on the roll out of our Surgical Optimization Service where patients will undergo a consistent and comprehensive review/tune up prior to surgery.
- We utilize peripheral nerve blocks and advanced regional techniques to reach enhanced recovery goals with our surgical colleagues. Candidates are expected to be proficient or will be trained to perform many of the basic peripheral nerve blocks (e.g. popliteal, saphenous, adductor canal, erector spinae, TAP, brachial plexus blocks etc).
- A 1.0 FTE is roughly 2200 hours annually (including all types of call) and is made up of day, evening, overnight, etc. The group shares/rotates holidays/weekends in a manner that creates individual hourly and compensation flexibility.
