Job Description:

A modern outpatient surgery center in Western New York is seeking a Per Diem Anesthesiologist to provide coverage for multiple days or full weeks at a time. This role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, delivering anesthesia for a variety of outpatient cases in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Details:

  • Pay Rate: $400/hour (If a non local canidate, a stipend can be discussed)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Position Type: Per Diem, with flexible opportunities to cover multiple days or full weeks
  • Case Types: Bread-and-butter cases, including plastics and orthopedics
  • Pediatrics: Optional; limited to tubes (once a week) and tonsils (once a month)

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia services for a variety of outpatient surgical procedures
Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations to ensure patient safety
Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care as required
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure effective pain management and safety
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient procedures
Document anesthesia care and maintain accurate patient records
Uphold all safety protocols and adhere to facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

MD or DO that is Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
Active DEA
Active New York medical license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience in outpatient anesthesia preferred but not required

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements
