A North Carolina client is seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist to provide locums coverage. Here are details:
- Monday through Friday 0700-1500 with call beginning at 1500
- Schedule is 7 days on followed by 7 days off
- The schedule is shared with one additional anesthesiologist. CRNA’s are first call with Anesthesiologists present for all in operating room procedures but no participation in placement or management of labor epidurals or out of operating room procedural sedation procedures.
Dates: 07/08- 07/15 and 12/30-01/06
Job Details:
- Inpatient (10%) and outpatient (90%) clinical responsibilities
- Inpatient census: 34 patients per day
- Average # of admissions per day 7-10 during the day/ 4 during the night
- 7-day work/call coverage period
- Call is nights and weekends.
- 24hr call only on the weekend; shared with the CRNA.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association) (AHA)
- # of surgical cases per month: approximately 175
- Bread and butter surgical cases: General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, OB-Gyn, Optometry, and Pediatric Dental, Endoscopy (pediatrics > age 2)
- No robotic or vascular surgery
- No ICU/Critical Care Duties
- Lt do not respond to codes
- LT will not be expected to serve as backup in ER
- Must be able to provide anesthesia independently
- Must be comfortable providing Pediatric Anesthesia on healthy children
