Job Description:

  • URGENT need for Cardiac Anesthesiologists
  • Required to be Echo Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship
  • Practice setting: high volume inpatient heart center
  • Schedule: variable- 8,10,12 hour shifts
  • Call Schedule: in house call, with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on call, when in house call they need to stay in the hospital overnight, with post call day off
  • Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular, there is no OB or trauma. The call rotation is 1:5 and 1:8 late coverage.
  • Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases
  • Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
  • 6 Cardiac Anesthesiologists in the practice
  • Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric- some child
  • The physicians provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of endoscopic, cardiac, orthopedic, pediatric, obstetric, cosmetic, and general surgical procedures.
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 30

URGENT need for Cardiac Anesthesiologists at St. Peter's
St. Peter's has brought on 3 new Cardiac Surgeons and needs Cardiac Anesthesiologists to support them
Required to be Echo Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship
Practice setting: high volume inpatient heart center

The selected providers will cover cases out of St. Peter's Hospital and Samaritan Hospital campuses in Albany and Troy. Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular, there is no OB or trauma. The call rotation is 1:5 and 1:8 late coverage.
Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation range: $600,000 and $650,000 per year. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesia - REQUIRED
Echo Board Certified and/or Cardiac Fellowship-Trained - REQUIRED
Active NY License - PREFERRED
BLS, ACLS, PALS - REQUIRED
