Job Title: Physician - Anesthesiologist

Start Date: Feburary 2024

Contract Length: 6 months with 30-day notice

Shift Details: Various shift options available including 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour shifts. Call frequency is flexible based on provider availability.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with weekend rotations and on-call duties.

Work Details:

• Support Staff: A team of 25 MDs and 50 CRNAs.
• Coverage Needed: 5 days a week, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Patients per Day: Ratio varies based on stability, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4.
• Patient Population/Age: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
• Department Description: Anesthesiology.
• EMR: Utilizing Cerner currently, transitioning to Epic in Spring.
• Hospital Bed Size: 617 beds.
• Accepting Specialties: Transplant Anesthesia, Neuroanesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Trauma Anesthesia.
• Required Skills: Proficiency in epidural, spinal, and regional anesthesia (e.g., brachial plexus, fem-sciatic, ankle, wrist) with ultrasound guidance.

Practice Setting: Hospital

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required (Will consider Board Eligible candidates)
• License: Must be licensed in Tennessee and/or Mississippi (preferably both).
• DEA Registration: Required
• CSR (Controlled Substance Registration): Required
• Preferred Certifications: TEE Certification for cardiac anesthesia.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience as an Anesthesiologist.

Credentialing Timeframe: 48 Hours
