Job Summary
Job Description
To prospective teammates,
I am the medical director for Providence Medical Center located in Portland, OR. I have been a part of Sound since Sound assumed anesthesia responsibilities at PPMC in November 2023 and have been practicing in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. I am proud of the anesthesia practice we have built and welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or desiring a career change. I want to share more about it, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider options:
People
- We are a collaborative, caring team whose main purpose is bringing better to the bedside.
- We are a newly established care team with 17 physicians and 47 CRNAs.
- Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we are out.
Practice
- Providence Medical Center is a large medical center with orthopedics, general, OB/GYN, vascular, and cancer services.
- We enjoy a fantastic work-life balance that can accommodate your schedule.
- We empower our team to practice to the top of their license.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME
Purpose
- We put patients first. Always.
- A focus on growth and development is a key feature of Sound practices, where teammates can expand their careers here locally and within the broader medical group.
- We are a community-minded team and encourage team members who want to contribute in and out of the hospital to help make our local community thrive.
