The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is seeking highly talented anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology and possess or qualify for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Fellowship training or substantial experience in obstetric anesthesiology is required.


  • General and obstetric position
  • Schedule: physician daylight coverage M-F 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (General); M-F 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM (OB)
  • Call: All days - beeper call and in-house OB call, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • CRNA supervision, 3:1 concurrency target
  • Hospital has 16 anesthesiologists and 45 CRNAs
