- Schedule: Variable- 8,10,12 hour shifts
- On call: The call rotation is 1:5 with the first call every eighth night, and no second call.
- White-glove licensing and credentialing assistance
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the facilities team of cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices within the institute.
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases
- Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
- Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric- some child
Qualifications
ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (to be complete prior to start) - REQUIRED
Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained - HIGHLY PREFERRED
NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
BLS, ACLS, PALS (by time of start) - REQUIRED
Working Hours
Variable 8,10,12 hour shifts + On call
Weekend/Calls Requirements:

Skills
- Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries.
