Description:
- Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Strong CV program
- Duties: Performing anesthesia in CV cases, supervising CV CRNA(s), performing TEEs, and placing epidurals.
- Required Procedures: Facile with TEE and comfortable doing all CV cases, excluding transplants, including Ecmo and thoracic cases. Able to perform epidurals.
- EMR: CERNER
- Support Staff: CV CRNA team and CV MD team.
- Timeframe: 2-3 weeks
- The ratio of MDs to CRNAs on a daily basis? ¾-1
- Any times during the day/on-call that our provider will be running their own room? Occasionally, if the need arises but someone will take over your supervision of the CRNAs
- Any responsibilities for cases aside from cardiac/vascular/thoracic? Possibly, if the CV caseload is down on a certain day.
- Regarding call: What are the start and end times of the weeknight and weekend primary and backup pager calls? Not needed.
- Is this 100% supervision? YES
- What TEE system is used? Phillips with x8 probes? Siemens
- Case volume per day in general, and how many of them will be cardiac cases. : Average case volume is 60 with 8-10 CV Plus TEEs, intubations, a-lines.
- Board Certified - Required
- Active AR License (will accept those who will obtain a license) - Preferred
- Clean Malpractice/Background - Highly Preferred
