The anesthesiology department at Salem Health is recruiting for full-time Cardiac Anesthesiologists to start immediately in a collaborative practice model working alongside supervised CRNAs. We offer a wide variety of surgical cases including trauma, general, neurosurgery, spine, orthopedics, urology, vascular, ophthalmology, gyn, OB, ENT, pediatrics, cardiothoracic, electrophysiology, GI and pulmonary procedures. This position will include call responsibilities.

Qualifications
-Successfully completed a training program in anesthesiology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
-Graduation from accredited fellowship program in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology with board certification or have commensurate experience in cardiothoracic anesthetics.
-Trans-esophageal echocardiography board certification or have commensurate experience in echo cardiography
-Board Certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
-Applicants who are not Board Certified must obtain board certification within five years from completion of the applicable Residency and/or Fellowship program for the privileges being requested at Salem Hospital
-Demonstrate experience and current competency, to include the performance of at least 400 anesthetics during the past 24 months at all hospitals and surgical facilities.
-Demonstration and experience of 100 cardiothoracic anesthetics during the past 24 months at all hospitals and surgical facilities.
-Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon
-Compliance with the ABA Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA).
Preference may be given to candidates who exhibit:
-Current Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association or completion of 100 hours of continuing medical education (CME) over two years, of which 40 hours are in category 1 of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
-Compliance with relevant state or institutional requirements for CME.
-At least 50 percent of CME hours in the primary specialty of practice.
