POSITION SUMMARY:
- The CQO is responsible for leading the comprehensive clinical quality, patient safety, and clinical risk management strategy throughout OSF Healthcare.
- The CQO, in collaboration with clinical leadership, directs and coordinates quality/performance improvement initiatives across OSF, by leading the organization in the development and measurement of quality outcomes, quality reporting, performance improvement, and infection prevention and control.
- The CQO will lead the service line clinical leadership accountable for quality of care, clinical protocol, and OSF best in class clinical care.
- The CQO collaborates with Population Health and Managed Care Contracting to monitor quality outcomes for which OSF takes financial risks.
Qualifications
Education:
Doctorate.
MBA or Masters of Medical Management (MMM).
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of healthcare experience.
Minimum 8 years of progressive and results-oriented experience as a Quality and Safety Executive.
Licensure/ Certification: M.D. or D.O. (Illinois physician license)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Proven track record of excellent application of improvement and patient safety science; conversant in the latest thinking in those disciplines; experience working with performance improvement tools and methodologies.
Certified in at least one of the following: CHQM, CPHQ, CPE, CPP.
