Location: A city in southeastern Michigan. It is situated about 25 miles northwest of Detroit and is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The city is known for its small-town charm, scenic beauty, and proximity to major highways, making it a desirable place for residents and visitors.

Facility: Medical center providing specialized addiction treatment services. This center offers comprehensive care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Opportunity:
  • Seeking an Addiction Medicine Physician to join their team!
  • Practice setting: inpatient substance abuse disorder treatment; residential treatment
  • Dates of coverage: ASAP until permanent hire; full-time- estimated credentialing 90-120 days but possibility for sooner.
  • Rate type: hourly
  • Schedule: flexible; 5 shifts per week, including weekends. 40-hour weeks, 7 am-3 pm approximately
  • Total beds: 63 beds; highly variable
  • Psychiatrist group: 2 psychiatrists
  • Advanced practice providers: 1 PRN and 1 starting in February
  • Psychologists: none, but master-level social workers and licensed counselors are available
  • Supervision required: none for other healthcare providers
  • Documentation system/EMR: CDHR (proprietary system; training required)
  • Referral/transfer protocol: patients sent to Henry Ford Providence Novi hospital for acute care level, IV infusions, or ICU inpatient admissions; no onsite labs
  • Safety/security measures: reviewed during orientation; not a locked unit, 100% voluntary program, no restraints used in over 10 years
  • Patient age range: 18+ years
  • Required treatment disorders: anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, organic disorders (all disorders must be stable and manageable)
  • Familiarity required: involuntary commitments, pharmacotherapy
  • Must believe addiction is a disease
  • Must be a trauma-informed provider
Compensation: Competitive weekly pay and malpractice included.
