DIRECTOR, RESIDENT MEDICAL CLINIC - THE HOSPITAL OF CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HOCC), a 446-bed community teaching hospital and the main campus for the UCONN Health Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency program, has an outstanding opportunity for Internal Medicine physician to supervise direct clinical care in the Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic. We seek an innovative thinker with a demonstrated interest in academic medicine and resident teaching.

Job Responsibilities
This highly satisfying work environment includes teaching with top tier residents who provide outstanding care to the patients and a stimulating academic environment with talented, accessible colleagues. The successful candidate will be an innovative, collaborative BC/BE Internal Medicine Physician. In addition, s/he will possess qualifications for academic appointment at the University of Connecticut (assistant professor level or higher), and an interest in faculty development, medical education, and research. The Medical Director will:
Precept and train medical trainees including medical students and medical residents
Collaborate with specialists and clinical faculty at HoCC to provide a multi-disciplinary learning experience
Develop leadership skills and development and promote faculty wellbeing through the respected HHC Provider Leadership Development Institute and the groundbreaking Office of Provider Wellness
Qualifications
Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine
Current Connecticut Physician/Surgeon licensure, Federal DEA, and Connecticut Controlled Substance Licensure (or eligible)
Ability to obtain and maintain a faculty appointment at The University of Connecticut School of Medicine
