As part of our expanding Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, we are seeking a passionate Internal Medicine Faculty member to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare by mentoring and educating the next generation of physicians.

Job Responsibilities

Blended Model with Inpatient Rounding:
• Spend two weeks in an outpatient setting, precepting residents and seeing private patients.
• Dedicate one week to inpatient rounding, collaborating with residents and hospitalists.
• Enjoy one week off every four weeks to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Outpatient Practice:
• Precept residents in a 36-resident Internal Medicine residency program.
• Manage a private patient panel while guiding residents through their clinical education.
• No clinic responsibilities on Thursdays, allowing time for didactics in the afternoon and administrative duties in the morning.
Inpatient Rounding:
• Work closely with residents and hospitalists during your designated hospital rounding week.
• Provide mentorship and clinical oversight in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
GME and Educational Functions:
• Engage in didactic teaching sessions to foster a robust learning environment for residents.
• Serve as a role model and mentor, shaping the professional development of resident physicians.
• Contribute to improving healthcare for underserved populations through impactful patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring medical residents.
• Commitment to serving underserved communities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
