Saint Joseph’s Health is seeking a dedicated Board certified/eligible Family Medicine physician to join our team and serve a culturally and clinically diverse patient population. Located ~10 miles from New York City, our facilities are in a vibrant region known for its highly rated K-12 school systems, numerous colleges and universities, and many family-friendly and cultural activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Commitment to providing high quality, evidence based inpatient and outpatient care to all ages. • Commitment to teaching evidence based medicine to residents, medical students and staff
• Oversight of patient care and office procedures, performed by residents and students.
• Supervise resident scholarly activity and research
• Participate in faculty development
• Design and implement curriculum, including delivering didactic lectures
• Provide and receive feedback to/from residents, students, peers, staff and the program leadership
• Serve as advisor for resident mentoring
• Participate in residency conferences
• Share on-call responsibilities for family medicine patients (inpatient and outpatient)
• Serve on residency and hospital committees
• Participate in interviewing, selecting, and ranking of prospective faculty and residents
• Contribute as a collaborative member of our high performing team of physician faculty members

Qualifications

• New Jersey licensure or ability to obtain
• DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Experience in GME leadership preferred
• Prior teaching experience
• 2+ years of comprehensive family medicine clinical experience preferred
• Flexible and able to prioritize and manage time well
• Experience in administrative, leadership and scholarly activities
• Excellent communication, discretion, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with physicians, leaders, faculty and residents and all levels in writing & verbally
