Seeking a Family Medicine Core Faculty member with obstetrics experience to join our passionate team in La Crosse, WI. Must have a strong interest in teaching. We are looking to fill this position in the spring/summer of 2024.
Practice Highlights:
· Precept on average 4-5 half days per week in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic
· See patients in clinic 2-3 half days per week.
· 1 half day per week of administration time for academic reasons
. 1 day per week out of clinic, unless on call/delivering
· Participate in mentoring, didactic, educational activities such as simulation, procedural workshops and other educational activities as deemed necessary
· Participate in academic interests such as research as deemed necessary by the PD
· Participate in regular faculty meetings on a weekly basis in the FMRC
· Participate in the CCC (Clinical Competency Committee - evaluating our residents) and PEC (Program Evaluation Committee - evaluating our program) meetings for the residency
· Minimal call (approximately on call for phone triage 6 weeks per year)
· Preference for inpatient newborn care and postpartum care for patients
· Prior teaching experience and faculty development training would be a plus
