Summary: The Physician Assistant will provide professional medical services within their scope of training and responsibilities, adhering to applicable laws and hospital policies. This role focuses on delivering patient care in a chosen medical specialty. Essential Functions: Conduct patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for chronic and acute illnesses and minor injuries, referring to a physician as necessary. Write prescriptions and perform office procedures within established protocols and available equipment. Collaborate with attending physicians and counsel patients and families on health-related issues. Participate in health promotion activities and contribute to clinical care planning and policies. Maintain thorough outpatient records using an Electronic Medical Record system. Assist with on-call duties during clinic hours, shared among providers. Record statistics and engage in research as required. Work collaboratively with staff and physicians to identify and address patient needs. Serve on committees as assigned and maintain hospital privileges as a Limited Health Practitioner. Adhere to professional standards and the organization s Code of Conduct. Qualifications: Required: Master s Degree from a Physician Assistant program. Active Physician Assistant licensure with prescriptive authority in Washington State by the start date. Ability to handle confidential medical information discreetly. Strong coordination skills to resolve issues collaboratively. Focus on maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of patient information. Basic computer skills, including Windows navigation, email communication, and password management.
