Job Description:

A physician-owned private urology practice in Asbury Park, NJ, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their esteemed team. The practice enjoys a strong reputation within the community and maintains close affiliations with a reputable hospital system. Currently, the team consists of one urologist and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), offering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct outpatient consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits for urology patients.
• Assist in performing urological procedures and surgeries under the supervision of the urologist.
• Provide comprehensive patient education and counseling on urological conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
• Collaborate closely with the urologist and healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in hospital rounding and provide support for inpatient consultations as needed.
• Manage after-hours patient calls and triage appropriately, with limited on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience working as an APP in urology or a related field is required.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of urology procedures and treatments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment.
